Surprise, surprise, surprise! That's exactly how I felt when the Cavs made a move for DeJuan Wagner instead of Caron Butler. Freddie Jones at 14? I'm not sure what the Pacers were thinking...apparantly, Qyntel Woods and Kareem Rush aren't that good anymore. And just to think the Knicks traded for Antonio McDyess when they could've juss simply drafted a player who will have that type of skill and talent in the future...ahum...Chris Wilcox.

There leaves little room...what am I saying...A LOT of room for trade talk and rumors to fly about a few days after the draft. First off, Clippers are sure to make a trade...drafting two power forwards when you already have an allstar in Elton Brand? Well, either the Clippers have decided to suck again or is in the process of a trade...I'll leave that up to you. The only players I see going in a trade from the Clippers are Wilcox and Odom. Possibly to the Cavs for Dre Miller. If this does happen, I must say the Clips will be making it to the postseason. A team with Dre, Q, Miles, and Brand has a solid nucleus and will be great in the years to come. I'm beginning to think someone did forget about Dre...and it's Cleveland. Just imagine Dre and Wags as a backcourt in the East...total domination. Too bad it won't happen.

How dissapointed am I in the trades that went down on draft night? Very dissapointed. Some trades made sense to me...but what were the Sixers doing?! Trading Welsh to Golden State for future picks? Hah! Those picks will not be in the lottery, the Warriors will be good this year-you heard it here first. As for the Sixers...they still have a chance (any team with AI will have a chance) to make to the Finals once more but they still need a second scorer and I did not see that addressed in the draft. Possibly involved in a trade this summer? Hmm...Deke...pack your bags.

So with so many trades that went down and plenty more to come, this summer will be among the busiest of them all. I wouldn't be surprised to see a trade occuring by the time I finish this 'article.' But if nothing happens, thinking of fantasy trades in your head as you flip channels in between of Pardon the Interruption or MTV's TRL might just satisfy you if you feel the Draft wasn't that all exciting...did someone say Peter Vescey?
