The
NBA Week That Was, in 60 Seconds
By INSIDEHOOPS.COM
Best
Teams Last week: The Portland Trail Blazers. Finally what looks great on
paper is looking good on the court, consistently. Last week they beat the
Hornets, Bucks and Pacers, and have recently won on the road against the
Jazz and Lakers. Who rocked? Bonzi, of course. In his last 3 games Bonzi
Wells averaged 23PPG and 6RPG, with 63% shooting. The Sixers keep rolling,
and enjoyed the recent emergence of Aaron McKie, plus insane production
from The Answer.
Best
Player Last Week: Allen Iverson. In his last 4 games he's averaging 41PPG
at 50% shooting. That's just plain ridiculous. No one who barely stands
6 feet tall is suppossed to be able to do that. Iverson also had over 4
rebounds and 5 assists in those games.
Honorable
Mentions: Antonio McDyess helped the Nuggets go 3-0 last week with around
30PPG 15RPG and 5APG. Aaron McKie (76ers) had back-to-back triple-doubles
last week. Tony Delk scored 53 the other day, but the Suns lost, so, well,
whatever.
Struggling
Player: Karl Malone. Hope that age thing is irrevelant and this is just
a bad stretch.
