noone posts in any of the other forums besides the main forum, OTC, and a few of the team forums. The Cavs forum is a ghost town, and I'm sure most of the other team forums are as well.

I don't think any of us can actually move threads into different forums. At least, I can't. So if you were to create college threads in the main forum, it wouldn't really be in our hands. Although personally, if we could, I'm not sure I would move it. It's all general ball talk, and it's not hurting the board if there's 2-3 threads on the first page talking about college.

Game threads are more of the same. If people want to discuss it, they can in a thread you make and it'll stay alive, and if they don't want to discuss it, the thread will fall to the next few pages.

Really, those types of things are minuscule problems that aren't even really problems because they aren't doing anything bad for the board. If it generates good talk, you can make a thread about your junior high school team if you want. No one wants this board to turn into one modded by Nazis who strictly enforce the most meaningless of rules.

Make sure posts are relevant to threads, makes sure they make sense, and try not to flame. Threads in the wrong forums aren't worth worrying over.

My opinion is that college game threads featuring the very top prospects are of general interest to everyone. If nobody like Mayo/Beasley is playing, then it'll probably appeal only to the NCAA fans, and should go in the college forum. I wonder what Jeff's thoughts are.

people argue that ncaa is better because of the teamwork and hard nosed defense and what but nba is where there is most of the talent collectively in the league - no other competition basketball is better in terms of entertainment...

They're both chock-full of kids. Different kinds of kids, though.

I have a hard time watching NCAA until tournament time. They say the NBA is too much 1-on-1 action. Well, the NCAA playbooks are too bogged down. Try watching a Bobby Knight or Mike K coached team. They just kick it around the perimeter, take a few dribbles, maybe pass inside, and don't shoot it until the very end of the shot clock. IN other words, the coaches don't let their kids play.

I agree with you personally, especially if its a top 20 team.

Some people do not like game threads because they do not really flow if you try to read or follow them after the fact. However, if you are a participant during the event, they can be fun to be involved with IMO and add to the sports viewing experience. Thats my two cents.

One thought might be to create a separate forum called Game Threads, particularly if management does not like them in the main forum. Perhaps there, people could post any game thread they want and if its of interest, the particular thread will stay alive.
