Best/Worst Coach in the NBA?
Everyone post your opinion on who you think is the best and worst coach in the NBA. No interim coaches please.
For me:
Best - Gregg Popovich
Worst - Doc Rivers

Re: Best/Worst Coach in the NBA?
I wouldn't say a coach who has the worst record-wise team is automatically the worst, because doc rivers >> eric musselman.
best = avery johnson
very very close second = greg popovich

Me picking Doc Rivers has absolutely nothing to do with the current Celtics record. Nothing at all.

Re: Best/Worst Coach in the NBA?
Pop > Johnson until Johnson wins a ring as a coach.
I think thats fair considering Pop was like his mentor
So I say Pop for number 1, followed by Sloan then Riley then Johnson then Jackson.
and for worst I say Mussellman.... what a maloof blunder

Best coach : Avery Johnson, DAL
Worst coach : Tony Barone, MEM
You guys gotta remember what Doc Rivers did in Orlando in 2000 with that depleted roster. They almost made the playoffs that year, despite losing Penny Hardaway, Nick Anderson, Horace Grant, and Isaac Austin the year before.

For those saying Tony Barone, I guess I should have put no interim coaches.
I'll edit.
