*some notes*
-This is based on what HAS happened thus far, I am not ranking on what could have happened (*IF* Barry Sanders didn't quit, *IF* Earl Campbell didn't get injured, etc) I am ranking these players on what ACTUALLY happened.
-This applies to players that are still playing, in this list I believe the only active player is Peterson, I think most agree that he looks to be much better than Edgerrin ever did, however he has not yet quite accomplished what James did so as of today I can't place him over. In time that will change obviously, and others could creep in as well.
-I should take this time to acknowledge I was wrong about Curtis Martin lol, he isn't quite top-10, in fact I am sure I have made past lists that differ from this list, don't bother bumping them, this is my final list. I got a decent amount of time today to mull this over.
-There are somethings that stats and awards don't show obviously, for example Barry couldn't block or run between the tackles, he had other areas where he struggled as well, these are why he is behind Emmitt and Walter to me. Others on this list may have similar issues
The reasons you outlined previously for ranking Martin over Earl is not consistent with this list you just put out.
Emmit shouldn't be ranked below a guy who Emmit has a 6000 rushing yards and 50 touchdown edge over.
Terrell Davis has no business being ranked over Edgerrin James, whom Edge has a 4500 yard advantage (6500 total yards) and 25 total touchdown advantage.

I'm huge on YPC...Jim's 5.2 YPC will never be beaten, and he has 3 MVPs
that is the same reason Davis is over Edge...4.6 YPC, and 1 MVP
YPC is the only reason AD even made the top-20
this list is very consistant, but like I said in the notes there are some issues that stats don't show with players
and the reasons I outlined previously for ranking Martin over Earl is still present here...only I wasn't able to squeeze Martin the top-10 like I thought...very close though

Yeah, but even that is kind of biased against AD because it's so hard for a RB to win MVP now that it is such a pass happy league. AD could run for 2000/15 and they would just stick him with OPOY and give MVP to A-Rod while he throws for 5000/40.
If AD didn't get hurt last year, he would have started his career with 6 straight years of at least 1300/10 (including what his ending #s will be this year. That's ****ing retarded lol.

I've heard Peterson in MVP talks this year, its not impossible...and I fully expect him to climb this list very quickly.
