Bynum is the most impactful player on the Lakers. He isn't some shot jacker like Kobe. Bynum actually rebounds and plays defense too while Kobe just guards some guy standing in the corner because he can't and doesn't want to play defense anymore.

I don't think bynum>kobe but who cares.. Bynum can't do shit offensively as a 1st option which sucks, but its a hell of a 1-2 punch if they are both playing well or even average. The team looks good.
I don't really value defense and rebounding as much as you apparently do, I'd rather have melo than chandler.... But eh. I am looking forward to getting kobe back so bynum can start shooting 60% again instead of 30%.
