Default Dwight Howard or Andrei Kirilenko

I've been offereed Kirilenko for Howard in a head-to-head league with these categories: FG, 3PT, FG%, FT%, PTS, AST, STL, REB, BLK, TO

I'm tempted, but nervous about Kirilenko's injuries. Other key players on my squad: J. Kidd, G. Wallace, S. Marion, Josh Howard, Al Harrington, Z. Ilgauskas. I'm kind of hoping for Center elligibility for Dwight Howard - then I can play Kidd, G. Wallace, J. Howard, Marion, D. Howard as my starting 5, mixing in Harrington as my 1 utility guy and other players as needed.

Any thoughts?

No WAY! Keep Howard, he's a beast that will do great this season. Kirilenko is good but he'll get hurt eventually. Howard also improved his FT %'s.

With Marion, Z, and Wallace already there to provide blocks, and Howard there to provide even more, you really don't need AK for the major reason you might need him (blocks). And that's the only category that AK is better than Dwight in, other than FT%. Dwight is the better fantasy guy, less of a risk, and a better fit for your team.

as someone fairly new to the fantasy basketball world, my opinions should usually be taken with a grain of salt, BUT this is one trade i can confidently say i would not take. i really like AK, but even if he didnt get injured at all and played 82 games, i would still take Howard. Dwight Howard is the model for the future big men...he is a monster and he is still REALLY young...i look forward to watching his career progress, especially from a fantasy perspective...

Thanks all - I appreciate your sound advice. I'm turning down the trade.

Dont forget AK has boozer and okur around him and he will have off nights both scoring and on the boards. Hes still a good player but dwight is the lone man in orlando and his numbers are only going to improve from last yr.
