That's pretty much exactly who all I would go with. Only exceptions are that I would probably go with Martin as Big 12 COY, (and even strongly consider him as national COY) and probably also at least give Gene Stallings some consideration for SEC COY. It's hard to argue with Pearl, though, since he kept Tennessee very competitive after kicking Tyler Smith off the team. Most people thought they would fall apart but they have the two most impressive resume wins in the nation and both came after Smith was kicked off the team.
Vazsquez > Scheyer. I'm pretty sure Scheyer has very little argument outside of team record.
When I saw your name, that's exactly what I anticipated you to say. Maybe Vasquez is (personally I like Greivis much more as well), but if I had to guess, I say Scheyer wins it.

Fair enough argument. I thought I was being somewhat hypocritical giving Pearl the nod for the SEC over Calipari when I didn't recognize Martin in the Big 12. Both took two programs and exceeded expectations 10 fold. I'll have to admit that I've been rather hard on Tennessee all throughout the season and thought they were going to crumble at any moment but they have proven me wrong over and over again.
However, unlike Calipari, Self seemed to be the only coach to hold a #1 seeding this year which is why I couldn't ignore him as the B12 COY. Considering the #1 seed was tossed around like a hot potato, and Self was able to be the only one hold onto it with any consistency, I went with him. No arguments from me if Martin got it though. He's definitely deserving.

I don't completely disagree with that. I tend to like giving coaches recognition that greatly exceeded expectations, rather than coaches who did pretty much what was expected. Pearl didn't necessarily exceed expectations, but he did a great job of holding that team together when many people thought they would crumble and fall apart.
As for Frank Martin and KSU, I distinctly remember watching one of their first Big 12 games in January, seeing the little number 9 next to their name and being genuinely shocked. I hadn't even realized they had climbed that high in the rankings and I expected them to falter and eventually fall out of the top 25. That hasn't happened and they are a few breaks going their way from having a win against Kansas.

Yeah, I think Scheyer will also win it, but I think Vasquez is more worthy. I hope I just didn't jinx him...
I think Wes Johnson's slump since his injury, along with the balance Syracuse has (5 guys in double figures, a top sixth man, Rautins may take some votes actually, and even Onuaku for FG% and rebounding gets a ton of credit) will keep him from the BE POY. Scottie Reynolds is my guess. If it's close, he'll probably get some career credit. DeSean Butler will be in the mix. And the sleeper that seems to be getting a lot of press lately is Marquette's Lazaar Hayward.
Don't underestimate the power of the media and their ability to hype up Scheyer for not only ACC POY, but also get some NPOY consideration, if they beat UNC Saturday night.
