Default Re: When will D-Will snap out of this shooting slump?

I wish he wouldn't shoot period and just pass. We have plenty of offensive options and when he was traded here with a bad wrist two years ago he was getting 11+ assists or something with a very offensivly challenged squad.. Only good thing I will say is that his defense has been much better the last two games. Defense and distributing is all I want him to focus on.

He's not chucking...he's only averaging 13.6 FGA a game (had 13 today).

He's just not hitting the shots that he used to.
Deron has always had poor shot selection for a passing/playmaker PG. (Or for any PG, really.) He takes too many 3s, too early in the shot clock. A guy like Chauncey Billups can get away with that kind of play, because he's not all that good at anything else.

He would be a better player if he got Tony Parker treatment from his coach on 3pt shooting (fined for each attempt).

And yes, he needs a coach who can actually coach. What is with all these NBA coaches who don't actually know any offense? My high school coach knew Xs and Os better than maybe half of NBA coaches.

In other words you want him to play like Rondo.

I want to know this to. I didn't think it was possible but I might have even more respect for Pop than I already had.

And yes D-Will like Boozer benefited greatly from playing within the flex. We played D-Will off the ball a lot and screened him for jumpshots, we posted him up a lot, and the offense just made the game easier for him.

Granted D-Will can produce outside of the offense and doesn't have as many weaknesses that needed to be covered up by the offense as someone like Boozer.

Why is that funny?
Who wouldn't? Rondo is the 2nd best PG in the game and plays like a PG should.

He's hurt. It's ceased being a story but his ankle is screwed up and clearly his wrist isn't feeling that good (or he's a huge ***** because he's grabbed it in pain at least two different games). It affects your shooting.

Because rondo gets ridiculed so much and before this season started D-will was ranked above him just on rep from utah. Now d-will should change his game to mimic the guy taking him off the "un-official" top 3 PG list. how the tables have turned.
