as my linked article points out, the ratio of ring to pointer is thought to be due to prenatal exposure to androgens. The more exposure, the longer the ring finger relative to pointer.

the linked article points out that this seems to have strong correlations across primates for social behavior patterns.

So this is probably more coincidental than factual. Most of that was way off in my case. I'm surprised it didn't say those with longer index fingers are more likely to die from the cancer they get.
