I was in Simi Valley for the Northridge quake, just over the hill - and it was pretty insane. I remember my bed sliding violently back and forth across the room. Then going outside and seeing all the damage, backyard wall knocked down, cracks in the ceiling and foundation of the house, everything thrown off the shelves, even fissures in the middle of the street. All that said, minus the damage, I quite enjoyed the experience, lol.

Been in SoCal my whole life and Northridge was unlike any quake I've ever been through. I didn't even think it was an earthquake. I thought we'd been bombed or something. Insanely violent, that one was.

Not to mention the aftershocks of like 6.0. I remember being in a parking lot for one of the aftershocks and seeing cars bouncing up and down, the front wheels getting some vert! If you were standing, you would get knocked off your feet if you weren't holding onto something.

i was in monterey when the loma prieta quake hit in 1989

i was at the race track standing in the paddock (a huge paved area) and watched the thing look like waves of asphalt... it would have made for a trippy skate board moment...lol

everyone had split for the day to watch the series so it was just i and another guy locking up the track... was weird and i was semi knocked down. more of a controled sitdown... we just say there and stared at each other for a couple minutes...

its all part of a master plan to get the nuggets nervous and unfocused on the game!

One must hope that these earthquakes are on the Lakers side.

They would replay that portion of the game if it were to really happen (probably would be before the start of the next game in the series). They would make sure that both teams are on the same court as the earthquake one.

I recommend that you ALL move to Arizona.
No earthquakes. No hurricanes.
Lots of beautiful outdoor life.

yes, the summers are rough, but nothing's perfect.
