Dallas Mavericks re-sign Darrell Armstrong

The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have re-signed veteran guard Darrell Armstrong. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Armstrong (6-1, 180) was acquired by Dallas via a trade with New Orleans for Dan Dickau and a second round pick on Dec. 3, 2004. He saw action in 52 games for the Mavericks, averaging 2.3 points, 2.2 assists and 1.3 rebounds in 11.1 minutes.
In 11 seasons, Armstrong holds career averages of 10.8 points, 4.7 assists and 1.56 steals in 27.0 minutes per contest. Originally undrafted out of Fayetteville State (NC), Armstrong has played in 647 career games and earned the NBA's Most Improved Player Award and the league's Sixth Man Award in 1999.
