NBA free agency is a fun game.

Everyone is wondering where Grant Hill will sign. Well, consider this: If Hill handles things correctly (financially), he can $115 million over eight years if he stays with Detroit.

If Hill signs a one-year, $9-million contract this summer with the Pistons, that would make him a seven-year veteran next summer. He would then qualify for greater maximums and could sign a seven-year deal. The best deal other teams can offer is a six-year, $67-million contract.

So, assuming that tens of millions of dollars are important to Grant, and that he enjoys his life in Michigan, look for him to remain a Piston for a long time.

As usual, there are a billion rumors regarding the Knicks somehow getting great players in trades or free agent signings. New York papers have come up with ways the Knicks can get their hands on Grant Hill.

We'll believe it when it happens.

Brian Grant is a free agent. He's sick of guarding Shaquille O'Neal. The Lakers need a power forward. Brian doesn't want to be forced to play center anymore. Solution? Try to become a Laker. Grant would fill L.A.'s hole at the 4.

The refs were on the side of the Lakers in Game 7. But the Blazers did a fantastic job blowing the game in the 4th quarter with horrible shooting and tons of missed open shots.

Magic Johnson wants back into the NBA, as a coach and/or in management. Magic said, "Watching what Larry's done, I want to coach - almost. Almost. Not there yet, but close."

After being contacted by Allen Iverson, Magic is going to try to help 76ers coach Larry Brown and star Allen Iverson work out their differences.

InsideHoops supports Magic getting involved with the league again; all we ask is that he never again try to host a late night talk show.
