CHARLES BARKLEY has played his final NBA game. Although his season was over long ago when he got hurt in Philadelphia, Barkley returned today to play one last game.

Jeff Hornacek has played his last NBA regular season game as well. His excellent 14 year careers of fantastic shooting, and winning basketball, will end after the Jazz lose to the Blazers or Lakers in the playoffs. Hornacek will leave the NBA with the third-highest free-throw percentage in league history.

Gary Payton had a triple double against Jason Williams and the Kings today. It's rumored that ballboys Jason guards before and after team practices put up triple doubles against him on a consistent basis as well.

Tim Duncan has torn cartilage in his left knee, may miss some of the playoffs, and in the worst case scenario might have to undergo surgery. Right now he's "questionable" for the start of the playoffs. Check our NBA news page for updates.

David Robinson also has a sore right knee. Sean Elliot has a jammed finger on his right hand.

Unless these guys (especially Duncan) heal in a hurry, the reborn Penny and his Suns could take the champs out in round 1.

The Charlotte Hornets are 30-11 at home this season.

Anthony Mason was given the Hornets team "Hustle Award" today. It's an award for the Hornet with the most rebounds, steals, and blocked shots.

Grant Hill has a bone bruise in his left ankle. He should be back soon and isn't expected to miss any playoff games. But if he's less effective than usual, you know why.

The Dallas Mavericks, now an awesome team (really!), finished the season by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves (ok, the key Wolves barely even played, but still - the Mavs are on fire). Don Nelson will step down as coach and probably stick around as General Manager for a long time.

In regard to the Lakers: We're not afraid of them and they know it," Blazers guard Steve Smith said. "We dominated them before that game. We lost it for a while, but it's only one game. The playoffs will be a whole new story."

Oh yes. Bring it on!
