Boston Celtics cut Qyntel Woods

The Boston Celtics announced today that the club has requested waivers on forward Qyntel Woods. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Woods, a first round draft pick (21st overall) of the Portland Trailblazers
in the 2002 NBA Draft, was signed as a free agent by the Miami Heat on
January 26, 2005, after being waived by the Trailblazers on January 21,
2005. In 118 career games, mostly with Portland, he has averages of 3.1
points in 8.9 minutes per game. Woods was originally acquired by the Celtics
in the five-team 13-player trade that sent Antoine Walker to Miami on August
3, 2005.
