The New Jersey Nets have requested waivers on guard David Wesley, Nets President Rod Thorn announced today.

Wesley was acquired by the Nets from New Orleans on October 29, 2007. He holds career averages of 12.5 points and 4.4 assists per game over 14 NBA seasons.

The Nets roster now stands at 13.
