HAPPY TO BE HOME:
Through much of the 2003-04 season, theWarriors have excelled at home and struggled on the road...Overall, they are 14-7 at home and 11-4 in their last 15 home games...Additionally, they’ve won four-straight at home and five of the last six ...On the road, however, Warriors are 5-20 and have lost 13 of their last 14 away from home.
CROWDED HOUSE:
Over their last nine home games, the Warriors are averaging a crowd of 17,806 and have gone 7-2 in those contests...The nine-game stretch began on 12/23 vs. L.A. Lakers, when an overflow crowd of 20,310 established a new single-game attendance record at The Arena in Oakland...Three nights later on 12/26 vs. Sacramento, the Warriors hosted 20,192 fans -- the 4th-largest crowd in franchise history...The third sellout of the 2003-04 season gathered on 1/15 vs. Cleveland, attracting 19,602 spectators...Overall this season, Golden State is 7-1 when playing in front of 17,000-plus fans at home...Through 22 home games in 2003-04, the Warriors are averaging 15,752 fans per game -- putting the club on pace to break the all-time franchise record of 15,486 established last season.
DUNLEAVY FORCED TO SIT OUT FIRST GAMES AFTER RECENTLY HEATING UP:
On 1/30 vs. Chicago, Mike Dunleavy had 15 points by making 5-of-7 three-pointers before leaving the game with 7:56 remaining in the third quarter...Due to the injury, he did not make the recent roadtrip with the team and missed the first two games of his NBA career at Memphis (2/2) and at Dallas (2/3)...Over his last eight games played, Dunleavy has shot 53.3% (40-75 FG) from the field and 57.1% (16-28 3FG) from behind the arc while averaging 13.8 points and 6.5 rebounds...Mike D. currenlty ranks 3rd on the team in scoring and 2nd in rebounding, averaging 12.4 points and 6.5 rebounds.
SPEEDY POINTS THE WAY:
Point guard Speedy Claxton has started the last 10 games, with the Warriors posting a 5-5 record in those contests...During that 10-game span, Claxton has averaged 15.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 2.50 steals and 35.1 minutes, while posting a 3.94 assist-to-turnover ratio (63 assists, 16 turnovers).
