Vince Carter announced Thursday that Raptors newly acquired guard Rafer Alston, Philadelphia forward Kenny Thomas and Boston guard Chucky Atkins have been added to the lineup for the fourth annual Vince Carter Charity All-Star Game, presented by Air Canada. The midsummer event takes place at Air Canada Centre on July 30 at 7:30 p.m.
Some of today’s exciting NBA talents are lending their time to raise funds for local Toronto children’s charities. Among the notables slated to attend are Toronto’s own Jamaal Magloire, the Raptors’ own Jalen Rose and 2004 NBA Sixth Man of the Year, Antawn Jamison from Washington.
Following is a list of those who have committed to participate. More players will be announced leading up to the event:

“Everyone - fans and players alike - have had fun at this game and I’m looking forward to another great time in Toronto,” said Carter. “The players enjoy being able to display some of their special basketball skills and this year’s group should put on another exciting show.”
The Vince Carter Charity All-Star Game kicks-off Caribana weekend in Toronto. The past three games have been sellouts (19,800), establishing an NBA attendance record for a league-sanctioned charity game.
The Vince Carter Charity All-Star Game is expected to raise several hundred thousand dollars for Vince Carter’s Embassy of Hope Foundation to benefit the Children’s Starlight Foundation. For more information, the public may call (416) 815 -VC15 (8215).
Tickets for the charity game start at $15 and are available through TicketMaster, (416) 872-5000. With the purchase of a ticket, fans automatically have a chance to win a collectible courtside chair.
