Philadelphia 76ers President and General Manager Billy King announced today that the Sixers have acquired guard Kevin Ollie and swingman Kedrick Brown from the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for guard Eric Snow.

"Eric was a great captain and a great leader for us and I wish him the best of luck," said King. "This deal will give our younger players an opportunity to play. Kevin is a solid player who will give us the leadership we need in the backcourt, and Kedrick is a developing young player who will add more depth to our bench."

Ollie, 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, begins his third stint with the 76ers, having played in Philadelphia during the 1999-00 season and the 2000-01 season when the Sixers advanced to the NBA Finals. The University of Connecticut product has posted career averages of 4.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists in his seven-year NBA career. While with the 76ers, he averaged 2.9 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 91 games. Ollie, 31, has played for 10 NBA teams, including Chicago, Dallas, Indiana, Milwaukee, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Orlando, Sacramento and Seattle prior to his one-season stay with the Cavaliers. Undrafted, Ollie played four seasons with the Connecticut Pride of the CBA, averaging 13.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 134 games.

Brown is a 6-foot-7, 222-pounder entering his fourth season in the NBA. The 11th selection of the 2001 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics has averaged 3.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.7 assists throughout his career. Brown, 23, entered the NBA via Okaloosa-Walton (Fla.) Community College, where he was a junior college All-American. He was traded to Cleveland from Boston along with Tony Battie and Eric Williams for Ricky Davis, Chris Mihm, Michael Stewart and a second round pick on Dec. 15, 2003.

Snow, 6-foot-3 and 204 pounds, will join the Cavaliers roster after six-plus seasons in Philadelphia, where he averaged 9.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 6.6 assists. The nine-year NBA veteran has career averages of 8.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists with the 76ers and Seattle SuperSonics. The 31-year-old Snow was drafted with the 43rd selection of the 1995 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks, but was traded on draft night to Seattle. After two-plus seasons with the Sonics, he was traded to Philadelphia on Jan. 18, 1998. During his tenure with the Sixers, Snow was awarded the 2000 NBA Sportsmanship award and was selected to the 2003 NBA All-Defensive second team. He enjoyed one of his best NBA seasons in 2002-03 when he averaged 12.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game.
