Jalen Rose will sign with the Phoenix Suns, reports InsideHoops.com editor Jeff Lenchiner.

A trusted InsideHoops.com source confirmed that Rose and the team have reached a verbal agreement and will soon make it official.

A few days ago Rose and the New York Knicks reached a buyout agreement, making the player an unrestricted free agent.

The versatile 6-8, 215-pound guard/forward has a career average of 14.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game on 44.3% shooting from the field. He'll likely be used as a backup in Phoenix, providing scoring punch at the shooting guard and small forward spots.
