Celtics keep Justin Reed

The Boston Celtics announced today that the club has exercised the
option on Justin Reed's contract for the 2005-06 season. Per team policy,
terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Reed, a 6-8, 240lb forward appeared in 23 games for the Celtics in 2004-05,
scoring a career-high 13 points at Milwaukee, February 8. The 40th overall
selection the 2004 NBA Draft played his college basketball at Mississippi,
where he averaged 14.6 points per game in 122 career games. As a senior,
Reed averaged 18.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as he was named to the
All-SEC First Team and the NABC All-District 6 First Team.
