Michael ReddThe Milwaukee Bucks are lead by shooting guard Michael Redd, who has one of the best jump-shots in the NBA. InsideHoops.com editor Jeff Lenchiner recently met with Redd for a quick interview.

Michael Redd: Our goal is the championship. Anything less would be a disappointment. Definitely make it to the playoffs, and improve on last year's record. Last year was a pretty disappointing season for us. We will win a championship, that's the goal. And obviously making the playoffs is our goal as well.

InsideHoops.com: What was your reaction when Desmond Mason got traded?

Michael Redd: Well, we were all disappointed. Good friend of ours, great friend of mine. We'd played with him for three years, almost three years. So, it was hard at first. At the same time, I understand it's a business. He's not dead, I'm not dead. We still stay in contact on the phone. It's just a business. We're getting over it right now, and I'm sure he's getting over it.

InsideHoops.com: So I guess you have to weigh personal stuff vs. professional stuff, because on the professional side of things, getting an all-star center helps.

Michael Redd: Yeah, it helps, definitely. It's all good for us. It's a love-hate thing. You hate to see Des leave, but at the same time you love to see Jamaal come in, who's a bona fide all star. It'll work out for us, and it'll work out for Des.
