Zeljko Rebraca having surgery, out a month
Clippers News | Nov. 28, 2005
On Wednesday, November 30th, Clippers’ center Zeljko Rebraca is scheduled to undergo an ablation of the accessory bypass tract, a procedure designed to help prevent a recurrence of the symptoms of an irregular heartbeat which has kept him sidelined for the last two games.
Rebraca was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat at the conclusion of the Clippers game against Toronto on November 23rd. He was hospitalized overnight for further tests and was released on November 24th after his heartbeat returned to a normal rhythm.
Rebraca will travel to Detroit on Tuesday and will have the procedure performed on Wednesday by Dr. Fred Morady at University of Michigan Hospital. Morady performed the same procedure on Rebraca on August 7, 2003, after he missed 50 games for the Pistons during the 2002-03 season due to a recurring irregular heartbeat.
Rebraca is expected to miss at least one month of action.
