Davis, Wade are NBA Players of Week

The Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade and the Golden State Warriors’ Baron Davis today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Nov. 28 through Sunday, Dec. 4.
Wade averaged 28.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists while shooting 46.8 percent. He also led the Heat in scoring in three of the four contests, including a pair of 30-point games, as he led the Heat to a 3-1 week. In the Heat’s 107-94 victory over the Knicks, Wade scored 33 points, tying his season high, and his five steals at Atlanta tied the Heat season high.
Davis led the Warriors to a 3-0 record by averaging 21.0 points and 13.0 assists per game. In a 113-106 win over the Sacramento Kings, Davis had season highs of 25 points and 16 assists, including six three-pointers. He also had back-to-back 20-point/10-assist games vs. Sacramento and Charlotte. Davis pledged to donate $500 towards Hurricane Katrina relief effort for every point he scored vs. his former team (Hornets) totaling $8,500 after his 17-point performance against the Hornets.

Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat:
- Nov. 28 vs. New York: In a 107-94 victory Wade scored 33 points, collected three rebounds, five assists, two blocks and three steals.
- Nov. 30 at Atlanta: Tied a Heat record with five steals, and had 20 points, four rebounds and six assists in a 96-74 win.
- Dec. 2 vs. Sacramento: Scored 27 points, and had five rebounds and seven assists in a 98-87 victory.
- Dec. 3 vs. Denver: Collected 32 points, six rebounds, six assists and 2 steals in a 101 – 99 loss to the Nuggets.
Baron Davis, Golden State Warriors:
- Nov. 28 vs. N.O./Okla City: Scored 17 points and handed out nine assists in a 99-83 win against his former team.
- Nov. 30 at Sacramento: Davis had a season-high 25 points and 16 assists along with five rebounds in a 113-106 Warrior win.
- Dec. 2 vs. Charlotte: Posted a double-double with 21 points, 14 assists in a 107-100 win over the Kings.
