Mark Madsen done for season
Minnesota Timberwolves / Mar. 23, 2005
The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced that forward Mark Madsen will miss the remainder of the 2004-05 NBA season due to a ruptured ligament in his right wrist.
Madsen suffered the injury during the March 15 game against the Dallas Mavericks, and has missed the past three contests. The injury will require surgery. A date for the surgery has not yet been scheduled.
In 41 games (14 started) this season, Madsen has averaged 2.1 points (.515 FG%), 3.1 rebounds and 14.7 minutes per game. Madsen was activated from the Injured List on Feb. 25 after missing the previous 24 games with a broken left thumb suffered on Jan. 7 against Philadelphia. He underwent surgery on the thumb on Jan. 8, and was placed on the Injured List on Jan. 10.
