Warriors introduce "The Intern" contest
Golden State Warriors News / Sept 14, 2004
The Golden State Warriors announced today that the team is currently searching for 10 college students to participate in the team's upcoming in-arena reality experience, The Intern. This season-long spin-off of the popular television series The Apprentice will result in one lucky student securing a full-time job with the Golden State Warriors.
The experience will begin on Wednesday, November 17, when the Warriors take on the Chicago Bulls and will continue at each of the next eight Wednesday night home games until the contest finale on Wednesday, March 23 vs. Dallas. The 10 contestants will be split into two teams of five players each and be assigned Warriors' business-related tasks to perform. At each Wednesday night game throughout the contest, fans in attendance will be able to see the teams performing their tasks, as well as the process of eliminating one of the contestants from the competition. The field of 10 will be narrowed down until there is only one remaining contestant, who will be rewarded with a full-time position in the Golden State Warriors organization.
Students interested in applying for one of the 10 positions on The Intern must submit a resume and videotape detailing why they would be a perfect candidate - and ultimately a full-time employee - for the Golden State Warriors. The videotapes must be VHS format only and no longer than five minutes in length. All resumes and tapes must be submitted by Monday, October 11 to the following address:
