The New Orleans Hornets announced they have signed free agents Sean Finn, Tremaine Fowlkes, Britton Johnsen and Nate Williams.
Fowlkes, a 6-8 forward, comes to the Hornets after averaging 1.2 points and 1.5 rebounds in 36 games for the world champion Detroit Pistons last season. He spent the previous two years with the Los Angeles Clippers and holds career averages of 3.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 95 games.
Johnsen, a 6-10 forward, averaged 2.1 points and 2.3 rebounds for the Orlando Magic last season. Johnsen was initially signed by the Magic prior to training camp, but was waived on November 16. He later signed successive 10-day contracts with the Magic and signed for the remainder of the season on March 30. In between stints with the Magic, he played in 34 games with the NBDL's Fayetteville Patriots, where he averaged 14.6 points and 5.9 rebounds to earn All-NBDL Second Team honors.
Finn and Williams will both enter training camp as undrafted rookies. Finn, a 7-0 center, finished his career at the University of Dayton as the school' s all-time leader in blocked shots and field goal percentage. Williams, a 6-11 forward, averaged 14.9 points and 6.6 rebounds in 82 games over his three-year career at Georgia State.
The Hornets begin training camp on October 5 and begin their preseason schedule on October 13 when they host the Dallas Mavericks at New Orleans Arena.
