InsideHoops.com: How was your summer, what were you up to?

Gerald Green: I went to Houston, worked on my game a lot. There are a lot of things that I want to get done. I'm really excited about the season, the upcoming season. I worked pretty hard at the things I needed to work on.

InsideHoops.com: What are some of those parts of your game that you worked on the most?

Gerald Green: Dribbling, defense, strength. I'm trying to get into a whole lot better shape than I was. IQ of the game. Every aspect of my game.

InsideHoops.com: Who were you working out with? Any known trainers, teammates, other NBA players?

Gerald Green: I was with other NBA players, working out with John Lucas, Kendrick Perkins.

InsideHoops.com: What was working out with Lucas like? He's well-known for helping a lot of players.

Gerald Green: He did a lot of things for me. In the future I'll always work out with him. He got me there, so I want to always go to him when I want to work out.

InsideHoops.com: The Gerald Green dunk contest. You're in charge. What dunkers, in or out of the NBA, would you invite for the sickest dunk contest ever?

Gerald Green: If you're going for the sickest dunk contest I don't know if I should be in there.

InsideHoops.com: Hah, well, I'd put you in. But what guys would you want to see in it?

Gerald Green: James White, Josh Smith, I like LeBron, and then I like that one kid out of high school, Bill Walker. But there's a lot of guys out there.
