Yeah you can foul out, Greg Oden fouled out in his first summer league game. The calls were pretty BS calls too, but the refs are auditioning for a job. That's why they allow them to call 10 fouls. The real NBA refs supervising the game go over and tell the refs, "you don't call that in a real game".

That's good since the real NBA is so well officiated.

I'm pretty happy with the games of Beasley and Chalmers. Beasley even admitted he took too many shots and would've liked to have pass more so he is a team player which is good signs.

Its not like he did it against rooks and scrubs, e went up against experienced players, guys Bulls fans think will be stars,

Joakim Noah
Tyrus Thomas
and Nichols started in the frontcourt

and
Aaron Gray
Cedric Simmons
both were off the bench as backups.

The funnier thing is Derrick Rose was great, 4 assists 5 turnovers,

You always want to take these games into proper context.

But the one thing that differs from the all aformentioned great games in comparison to Beasley's? Beasley just did that against a starting NBA frontline. Tyrus Thomad and Joakim Noah are the Bulls starting powerforward, and center.

Rose also went 4/8 Ft line and i always say you can tell how good a shooter is from what he does at the freethrow line

Would you please stop whoring that Beasly is now automatically better than Rose?

This ain't the NBA, he's not exactly being guarded by Dwight Howard here, hes being guarded by Tyrus Thomas...

Meanwhile Rose is guarded by somebody who actually has potential in Mario Chalmers.

Im not going to say I dont like what I saw from Beasly, Im just going to say please those who are judging him by it should really think first. Im not going to say I wasnt too too impressed from Rose, because you too would get abit jittery being selected #1 and playing in your first game that is similar to the NBA.

You wanna judge them? You try scoring there, you couldnt cause you'd get you ass stuffed by either Tyrus or even Chalmers...

The logic from alot of posters in this thread has lacked.

Hey, LeBron struggled in the summer league, so did Deron.....

He sure was. I remember that. Where has he been since? After summer league, I thought we'd hear a lot more about this guy during the regular season. Which just goes to show, you can't really put too much into summer league games. I think Nate Robinson was Summer League MVP last season wasn't he? Or was it season before last?

Quote:
Three Julys ago, in his summer league debut in Las Vegas, it looked as if Hornets point guard Chris Paul—the No. 4 pick of the 2005 NBA draft—was well on his way to NBA stardom. He scored 21 points, dished out four assists and had five rebounds that night. Sure enough, stardom has arrived for Paul.

Around the same time, it looked as if Deron Williams was headed for Flopsville. He had just eight points in his summer league debut, and by the end of the Rocky Mountain Revue, he was shooting 40.3 percent and was committing fouls at a rate of one every 6.3 minutes.

And yet, stardom has arrived for Williams, too.

The lesson is that you’re a darned fool to think you can conjure much out of summer league basketball. It is one of the lowest forms of organized basketball known to man, a mix of players who are on NBA rosters, have some chance of making NBA rosters and have no chance of making NBA rosters. None of them has any real sense of the team’s offensive or defensive schemes. Oh, and you can’t foul out, no matter how many times you hack.
