Default HUGE Win For the Pacers Tonight

Man, this team is making leaps and bounds since the all-star break. Not only do we have our first 4-game winning streak in over two years, but once again we get big contributions from Granger, Dunleavy, Murphy, and tonight Shawne Williams, to help lead us to overcome a 13 point 4th quarter deficit and get a big W against the Bulls, who are competing for the same 8 seed in the playoffs as we are.

So after the win tonight, we are now a full game and a half ahead of Chicago. Not only that, but New Jersey lost again, so we are now tied with New Jersey for the ninth seed. The beauty of this is that we have back to back games against New Jersey next week, and if we continue to play like we have tonight, and the las three nights, I like our chances to capitalize, and work hard to pull out 2 W's against them.

Atlanta also won, overcoming a 4th quarter deficit of their own to get a big win against Division leading Orlando.

So after tonight's games this is what the fight for the 8th seed looks like.

8.Atlanta (30-39) --
9.Indiana (29-41) 1.5 GB
9.New Jersey (29-41) 1.5 GB
11. Chicago (27-42) 3 GB

Here's how it's gonna go down:

We're gonna make the playoffs. No problem.

JO and Tinsley will come back and combine for 60ppg in one of the largest upsets in NBA history as we sweep Boston.

Inspired by his former team's heart and desire Reggie Miller will drop the headphones and suit up, averaging 30 ppg and hitting dagger threes in the 4th to propel us to the finals where he will hold Kobe to two points per game.

You heard it here first.

I gotta give major props to the Pacers

As a white male who plays ball recreationally very often, it is great to see the Pacers playing well and winning.

Mike Dunleavy - having his best season ever. he is laughing in the faces of all haters and critics now!

Troy Murphy - having a great year and shooting the 3-ball quite well.

Jeff Foster - the hardworking tough guy that won't back down. ever.

Travis Diener - still improving, but has shown that he can do well when given minutes. He has 188 dimes this season. give this guy some credit!

I would love to see Indiana make the playoffs!

They will be battling for that final spot with NJN , ATL and if ther 76ers stumble maybe even them, but if they keep this kinda forum up i can def see them making it over NJN who in my opinion don't even deserve to make it for a team to have RJ, VC , Devin Harris/J kidd they should really have a better record. ATL on the other hand i would prefer over the pacers because they can match up well better with teams like Boston , Pistons and cleveland.

Nah, the Pacers will give the most problems to the Celtics, IMO. They're still top 10 in the league in scoring, and was once the leading scoring team in the East. You're gonna need to score against the Celtics and their suffocating D. But if we could get JO back in time, I could see us stealing maybe even 2 games.

Speaking of JO...will he still be a Pacer next year?

And will Tinsley still be a Pacer too?

And to think just 3-4 years ago the Pacers were a 61 win team, #1 in the East, and had an MVP candidate and the defensive player of the year. I hate the Pacers and am glad to see them suffer.

This year, the Pacers might have a chance to play the Pistons if they get to the 7th spot. I hope Philly gets 8th and plays Boston while Atlanta gets 6th and plays Orlando leaving Cavs and Wizards.

yeah if you'd told me JO would be hurt AGAIN and tinsley after having the start to the season he did would be out and the pacers would be in a legit hunt for the playoffs i would have said "no" i would have said "no no no, you're an ******* who doesn't know ****" but they're keeping it together. i like diener and flip murray at the point, no disrespect to tinsley, i love brooklyn and the iowa state cyclones but it's run it's course in indy, he's only healthy when it doesn't matter, let's get him nearer to some sea air and let him finish out his career on his feet.

also my fantasy team would like to thank troy murphy for being the bargain center draft pick of the year (moreso than kaman considering kaman is missing all these important end-of-season games) and to danny granger who has been awesome the last couple weeks.
