Default Can we all just appreciate the All-Star Game?

Why do people always call the All-Star game boring? Every year is the same.

I mean, isn't it great already seeing so many great basketball players playing at the same time. To me thats already trully amazing, how often do you see that? Each player on the court is used to being "The Guy", and now every player is "The Guy". Its a great experience just watching the game period. People need to appreciate the players and the game more than wanting to see dunks and something else crazy.

Yet many times in life you don't go with majority and you are right.

Like i said after the dunk contest..on ISH someone will ALWAYS complain. You know why? Because its sports and that means there's always gonna be a winner and a loser. The fans of whoever loses will say "it sucked". In the case of ISH you also have 1,000 haters of every good player in the league. For example someone who hates LeBron will say "it sucked cuz he got MVP"

Too many agendas and too many egos for ISH to ever collectively enjoy something together

Hey, best halftime show I have seen in a long time. Great music. Makes me want to go to Mardi Gras next year.

I've enjoyed previous years ASG, this one just wasnt fun aside from Dwights dunks and Lebrons dominance in the game itself.

The crowd really didnt seem to be in it at times, and the jerseys were a bit ugly. I respect New Orleans music, but it doesnt scream NBA now to me.

I loved Vegas and Im sure Phoenix will be fun too. Wish LA could get it back but Im sure wont happen for awile.

Some of us saw Jordan and the gang actually out there playing hard back in '90s.

That's why the ASG itself sucks to us. Saturday night was crazy, though.

I hear you... People complaining that LeBron played "too hard", yet nobody thinks that maybe 23 other players were soft. Back in the day everyone played hard, it is supposed to be an honour to be there as a player.

I think most of the players were honoured to be there but, also have the big picture in mind. The game really doesn't mean anything. And with half a season to go to get into the playoffs, why risk anything on a glorified scrimmage game?

I don't think Lebron played "too hard" or anybody else played "too soft". They were just putting on a show. When else will you get to see Duncan and Yao shooting 3 pointers? Just take it for what it is, entertainment.

Maybe if the winning conference got something out of it (like baseball) or it was after the season (like football) but, why risk getting hurt or tired out when you got half the regular season and the playoffs to play?
