Default Bryant 3 minutes and out. What a waste for an All-Star spot.

Could of been Baron from the Warriors or Deron from the Jazz playing instead. Am I the only pissed at that?

I think Lakers' front management share your frustration.

yea but keep in mind he wanted to sit out, but he had to play to avoid suspension..

blame falls on the league, not on Kobe.

he would not have got into trouble b/c he would be sitting over injury.

it was kind of selfish to play when Baron clearly deserves to be on the squad. Hell, in any normal year people would be talking Baron for MVP

what part of kobe was forced to play or he would be suspended are you people not getting?

there was already been a thread on this and the NBA rule was even pasted in there

because he played last wedenesday and because he plans on playing tuesday, if he sits the allstar game out the NBA told him and the lakers he would be suspended..
he asked out on thurdsday and was denied, the lakers appealed on friday and they were denied...

I hope Stern's happy. They were thinking Kobe would get into it once the game started but he was too stubborn for them lol

The rules state if you play the game before the All Star break, you're considered good to go for the All Star Game. KG's missed the past 6 or so games, so he didn't have to play the ASG. If you played the last game before the break and don't play in the ASG, you have to sit out the first game after the break.

Kobe said he'd rather not play. But league rules say that if you played the game before ASB and will play the game after, then you must play in the ASG. Either that or hes suspended.

Baron Davis should have been there instead. He deserved to be there even over Brandon Roy.

I wasn't blaming Bryant or the Lakers, it's just a damn waste of all star spots. I mean, the league should be more flexible with the All-Star game.
