That's it, summed up perfectly.

The thing is there are so many people who want(ed) to like KG because of his public displays of fiery emotion and not like TD because of his meekness, but on the court neither has given any of these people reason to do so.

It may be a little easier to build around Duncan's style, but Duncan's greater team success also has much to do with his GM never conducting an illegal trade that cost the Spurs 5 consecutive first round picks. Just to get Joe Smith a large payday.
You mean Duncans a center and KG is a PF....

Defensively, very similar.

Rebounding and block instincts of them both compoze the elite of the NBA.

I'm going to have to say the major difference is their offensive go-to move.

KG haz his personal fade-away J move he utilizes with spins, whereas Duncan has the bankshot/or just the classic hook.

KG feelz more comfortable in the 13-18 foot area when it comez to jumpshotz, where as Duncan is better inside.

Nevertheless, Duncan, Garnett, Jefferson, Barkley, Malone, McHale will round out the top 6 powerforwardz when it'z all said and done.

Everytime I watch KG or Duncan play, I cant help but think about that.

I agree. I think thats what would've happen. But I would still rank Duncan over KG cause I can only go by what we know.

I disagree. Duncan's much more of a defensive threat in the paint.

Duncan prefers down low and inside the paint. KG prefers the baseline turnaround jumper and the mid range. Duncan is slow and unathletic but effective due to his fundamental skills. KG is much more athletic and show more competitive nature. KG is the better rebounder but isn't as consistent as TD. Duncan is the better defender and blocker but will have tough time with quick centers.

I agree 100%. Just like how almost anyone would take prime Shaq over prime David Robinson anyday. I don't know why KG and Duncan are compared so often..they are not similar at all.

Duncan would have forced a trade years before Garnett eventually did. Garnett could have gotten out of the sewers years ago but decided to cash in with Minnesota instead of looking for a championship oppurtunity, lets not forget this.
