Paxson and Hinrich? I know all Bulls fans love Hinrich(as do I) and it's easy to compare him to Paxson due to their size and complexion, but you can surely find a better comparison than that. There's certainly a few clutch gunners in the league that would fit the comparison better.

First three-peat:

Jordan - Kobe's strengths + Lebron's strengths
Pippen - Marion + passing & IQ
Grant - Haslem
Paxson - Damon Jones
Cartwright - Not sure, but he was a 7 pt/5 reb/.2 blk/46% shooter (and above average defender) during the first three-peat, so whoever fits that bill (no pun intended ).

Second three-peat:

Jordan - Kobe + bball IQ
Pippen - Artest + passing & sanity
Harper -
Rodman - 2003 Ben Wallace minus the shotblocking
Longley - present day (not prime) Nesterovic (prime Rasho was a much better shotblocker than Luc ever was)

It's actually a pretty poor comparison. TMac is a much better scorer, more dominant, and more clutch player than Pippen. Hinrich is a much better passer/scorer/shooter than Harper (if you're talking second 3-peat) and a way better passer/defender than Paxson (if you're talking about the first 3-peat).

Go for Iggy or a confident Diaw as Pippen and I would be very tempted to throw Camby in for Rodman.

i understand where you're going with the camby / rodman comparison, but i don't think it works on a practical level. rodman had very little range and couldn't space a defense the way camby does. he also wasn't a shot-blocking threat and his defense was effective in one on one and switching scenarios but not as a lane clogger / intimidator. both are highly effective on the boards but don't bang inside that well but rather use quickness and position (and in camby's case length) to outmanuveur opponents.

I'm interested to know your recreation, should be good.

Why the hell does Ron have two Hughes comparisons already? He was actually good.

I like VC's comparison the best. Turkoglu and Kukoc is perfect.

Also for those that forgot, Jud Buchler = Pat Garrity

You're way off on some of your comparisons.

Rodman >>>>>>>>>>>> Biedrins in many many many ways. They don't even play alike.

Randy Brown and Jud Buechler was scrubs before and after Chicago. They shouldn't be compared to anyone that has any kind of potential in this league. Not that they didn't fill their role.

in terms of era, tmac is a great comparison for pippen.

keep in mind, in the 90s, pippen was probably the 2nd or 3rd best swingman in the game, right after MJ. however, marion is not one of the top perimeter players in the game. tmac is (when healthy) a top 2-4 swingman, similar to pippen in his day.

The only one I know that is in the league right now that can rebound, not a good shot blocker, not an offensive player is Reggie Evans. But he lacks the crazyness of Rodman. Maybe fortson but he's already out of the league i think.

rodman was a good offensive player. he didn't score in chicago, but he scored double figures when he was with detroit and he understood the triangle offense. unlike ben wallace, who stalls the offense when he's in the game, the bulls where the best offensive team and backdooring other teams to death.
