Default Yet another reason why Dwight Howard is invaluable

Over the 3 1/4 years Dwight Howard has been on the Orlando Magic, he has played every single one of their 270 regular season games.

Considering how much he bangs down low thats impressive and very encouraging for Magic fans

No, he's played in all games I believe. There was, however, one game which he didn't start.

Good call, that is definitely correct. I misread the stat lines on ESPN.com

That just makes it even more impressive

I honestly think he is one of the best players in the NBA now.

Up until recently I kept trying to come up with reasons (in my own mind) why he isn't that good; poor post moves, no outside shot, poor FT, etc.

However, everytime time I watch him play the guy is puting up some ridiculous stat line like 30 pnts 18 rbnds 5 blcks... you simply can't argue against numbers like that.

Howard is a BEAST, and if he continues to develop the other aspects of his game he is going to be a superstar for years to come.

Basically pencil him in as the starting center for the Eastern Conference All-Stars for the next 10 years....

It's not like anyone will argue that. You couldn't find a single reasonable poster on ISH that wouldn't say that same thing.

Dwight is INARGUABLY top 10.

I was watching the Magic/Bobcats game yesterday, and they said that no one in the NBA has more than two 30 point, 15 rebound games this year.........

other than Dwight Howard who now has 8

Not to take anything away from Dwight, but he's the only top flight rebounder in the league who gets the touches to score 30 points on any given night. The only other players who come close to having the same role at center are Yao, Amare, and Garnett, and Yao and Amare aren't very good rebounders while Garnett isn't the type to score thirty points, especially alongside Pierce and Allen. And players who are more capable of putting up the points and the rebounds, like Jefferson and Boozer, often play beside better rebounders than Dwight does.

Still, it's an impressive stat, no doubt about it.
