you forgot Kobe's wrist injury.

And I dont want Kobe playing sunday honestly, he needs to just sit back and rest for a few games. THe season is long and a slight tear in the quadriceps (what he suffered last night) can linger and can get much worse if aggravated.

Not really a fair comparison.

Kobe is a veteran and is use to playing through injuries. He wants to win now, because his career is in its twilight.

LBJ is still a infant in this league, although he doesn't play like one. While I'm sure LBJ wants to win now, he has to take into consideration that he still has a very long career in front of him.

I prefer to see the differences like this...

LeBron

PPG 29.8
RPG 7.2
APG 7.9
SPG 1.9
BPG 1.4
FG% 0.487
FT% 0.705
3P% 0.325
MPG 38.9

Kobe

PPG 27.0
RPG 6.1
APG 5.0
SPG 2.0
BPG 0.6
FG% 0.447
FT% 0.847
3P% 0.333
MPG 36.5

...good try, tho.

The difference is one will eventually win a chip as a non-sidekick. The other won't.

Actually, Kobe has played under similar circumstances all his career.... its in his DNA...

And how did the game end last night due to Kobe being such a "warrior?"

Him getting burned on defense, chucking bonehead shots because he can't drive due to his injury and wants to shoot anyway, and missing the final shot.

Keep goin' Kobz.

If Kobe sat through every injury, he'd never play. Therefore, he pretty much HAS to play through them. LeBron seems more durable, so if he is injured he can take a break and become fully recovered. Seems if Kobe takes a break, he'd just come back and have some more small problems, so the break really does him no good.

In other words, they are both doing what is best for themselves in their own separate conditions.

its just a different generation of players. look at the injuries Iverson and Kobe having played through (especially AI). just like the 80s guys. Lebron will probably have a longer lasting career/prime tho

Both incredible players, both are tough, both are dedicated to the game, and both make me proud to be an NBA fan. Let's stop with the childish comparisons and just let a man live and let the stats do the talking.

Over the past 5 seasons Kobe has missed 40 games while Lebron has missed 17, what was your point again ?

Kobe homers don't understand this. LeBron gets hurt. It's just not advertised like Kobe's "injuries". LeBron is a tank. The most unique physical specimen of the decade. I mean, how often do you hear LeBron having any sort of injury. Once or twice? With Kobe it's like every other game, he's injured. And he doesn't even drive to the rim. How does he hurt himself chucking jumpers. LeBron drives to the rim all game all season.
