Default Are you an offense guy or a defense guy???

What aspect of the game do you have the most interest in, offense or defense?

Me personally I'm an offense guy. What about you?

Offense. Easier to cheer for. I respect people more who play both ways jsut as hard (KG is my fav. player) but I can't help but love watching deep threes swish, and sick dunks, and beautful passes and crossovers.

Defense all the way. I always felt it was more interesting than offense. And more important. When I watch a game, I almost never say "Wow good play", I always see what the defense did wrong. I guess if I was a coach I would be Mike Brown

I found an interesting book about defense (actually that's the only one I found where I live) : Let's Talk Defense by Herb Brown (Larry Brown brother). Some nice stuff in there. But also some boring/obvious stuff

I am a defence guy, I have always gone against the grain. Rather than see a guy continually put up thirty, I want to see the guy who can stop him do it. I was never a scorer when I played, but I vowed to never let the guy I was D-ing up to get double figures. They may have, but I did my best to prevent it!

When I play, I'm more of a defensive guy, and I can usually guard both perimeter and post.

But when watching basketball, I enjoy watching both sides of the ball, especially off ball movement. It's so refreshing to see players cutting down the baseline, curling off screens, setting back picks and seeing the defensive player fight through picks and chase after hte offensive player. I wish I ahd caught on NBA sooner though, I would have loved to watch the Sacremento Kings of old, I just hope the Rockets can become even a shade of them.

Offense is more fun to watch but in terms of winning games i place more value on defense. I think defense can be played well every game but shooting comes and goes even to the best scorers.

For example Kobe was 6-23 last night. That doesn't mean he isn't a great scorer it is just that even the best scorers will frequently have bad games.

A strong defensive team can win even when their shooting is off.

This sums my thoughts up pretty nicely. I watch the defensive side of the ball a decent share, but offense interests me more.

I'll normally just watch whatever side my teams are on. So if my team has the ball, I pay attention more to the offense, and when we're on d, I pay more attention to that side.

x2. Pretty much what you said describes me. Also, even though I enjoy both sides of basketball, I like defensive players, especially young ones e.g. Iguodala, J. Smith, Deng, etc. So fascinating

Neither, more of a athletic guy...I focus on defense, but mainly focus on my offensive game.

Though, my defense is good..
