An all-star? No. I don't think he'll be an all-star again, but I do think he's starting to figure out how he can be most effective for this team.
The coaching staff has told him they want him to shoot 3's. The problem I have with that is that you're trying to teach an old dog new tricks. The first few games into the season, he was parked at the 3 point line constantly, and he wasn't playing to his strengths, which is shooting the mid-range shot, and slashing to the hoop.
It's no surprise that Grant's numbers have been better as he's looked to work inside first, and then make his way outside. He's been slashing to the hoop, and he hasn't been settling for 3's everytime down the court. He'll be much more valuable to the team if he plays the way he normally plays first....then maybe sprinkle in a 3 here and there.
Figure out? This is the third season he's been "back." Looks like he figured out how to piggy back with a loaded team that has a ton of posessions. He doesn't look much different to me, except that dunk I saw him throw down last night.
