You guys are forgetting, they're being paid a phenomenal amount of money to do these things.

They have the advantages of state of the art training and medical staff to both motivate them, and keep their bodies in the best shape possible. Has anyone looked at the cost of just a gym membership these days?

I doubt any NBA players have to pay one cent into their training regiments. It's all paid for by the team facilities, unless a player chooses to extra help.

I'm not saying they're not fantastic athletes, but a large portion of that is having advantages that the rest of us don't.

If any of you were at least even decent basketball players in high school, think how good you would be if your body was in peak shape to where you could jump as high as your potential, or run for 48 minutes straight without tiring.

If you were already in that kind of shape, then there's a reason you're not in the NBA now.

Yeah like Kobe's 666 workout.

Well obviously, but that just makes their athleticism and strength that much more impressive.

NBA players are the best athletes in the world IMO.

i may not be technically correct, but they're huge machines of lean muscle running 5 miles every game. taking contact, jumping high, etc.

everytime i go to a game im in awe.

Sorry, back to the point: I feel that for every Garnett, there is a Bosh. For every Kobe, there is a Josh Childress.

If you want to look further, look for boxers.
