Default Another friendly reminder to visit the Team Forums

Everyone should visit their favorite team's forum and post any thoughts they might have had, might of think they had, or think someone else might of had.

But don't limit yourself to you're favorite team. Check out the teams you kinda like or better yet, check out the teams you hate and provide a different perspective on an issue. But remember to support your arguments with some kind of evidence and logic.

As for the excuse of them not being active enough or being boring: If every poster posts in the team's forum a few times a day, they will grow exponentially. A lot of posters only post in the team forums and its great to get their thoughts on issues regarding your favorite teams.

The NBA Season has begun and its time to revive the team forums.

A nice place to start? Visit the Kings Forum:

http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=36

Everyone has opinions about the Kings as they struggle to be competitive with a new coach, crazy players, and lots of issues. Come, share your's!

along with my fellow Nets fans

we have revived the Nets forum from a moribund, desolate, and barren wasteland to the third most active forum on ISH behind the Lakers and Raptors.

pretty impressive given Lakers have a million Kobe fans and the Raptors are a whole nation's team

True. When the NBA Forum and OTC forum get too hijacked by the wackos here, its cool to read what's going on in NJ, NY, Bos.

Question - could anybody tell me if the average age anywhere is a bit higher. Say over 25? I know the Raptor board is a bit more mature with lots of older guys, anywhere else?

I try to go into the team forums when I can. but as you said, it's pretty dead in there. only 4 replies in the Mavericks forum in the last week. I'd post in there, but it's kinda like talking to yourself.

Invite some friends? Post a myspace bulletin? Invite your fantasy league?

Thats all you can really ask for. Make a post, make a thread, and see if it generates some responses. It'll start with one guy making one post and checking to see if someone responded to it. From there it will only grow.

Laker forum is a lot more reasonable and sensible then you would expect after reading some of the main forum threads.

Raptors, Nets, Lakers are the better known forums.

Kings, Sonics, Hawks, and Cavs forums have good discussion but have lots of room to grow in terms of activity.

My advice would be to first check out the teams you know a lot about and then check out the teams you like but don't know a ton about. That way you'll be adding to the forums and learning more at the same time.

Mods, sticky this thread for a day or two....

myself and b-low are the Cavs forum mods. There are only a few new posts each week, and maybe only 5-6 "active" posters

it happened about 2 weeks ago. I never even requested to be a mod. Jeff just sent me a PM one day declaring me as the other Cavs mod. I was like um................OK??:

I think I can handle the pressure of the situation, though

Hey,assume that if Kobe gets been traded to another team such as NewYork or others, then Lakers forum would still rank 1 top? I think NY may come up,as Kobe is there, am I right?

yep.

If he gets traded to chi, you'll see all these new screen names pop up, and they will all be like I've been a chicago fan for years!

You've had 4 in the last week. I answered one post and you never replied. Yeah we need to pick it up. But show up more than once every month or so before you whine.
