and neither is KG assists do not make a pf. its really about runnign the offense through them and having them bring it up at times and call the sets. KG does some of that, but not enough IMO to be a PF. As somebody said, diaw is prob the best, prince has the skill set but isnt used os one all that often. grant hill still kicks around the league..... and then maybe walton, but he doesnt handle the ball enough.

these arguments don't function until somebody clearly defines what consititutes a point forward. it looks like boozehound's the only poster to do that, and his definition seems to be a point guard with the size to cover forwards (which interestingly could include magic johnson when he played with nixon and wilkes and anytime he shared the floor with coop and scott and coop covered a guard).

i can't personally think of any forwards who routinely bring the ball up and set up a play. bron seems the closest to that definition. walton and diaw have been mentioned but neither of them brings the ball up. hill might have worked last year but there's no question who runs the plays on the suns.

As much as LeBron initiates the offesne for the Cavs please explain why he is not a point forward.

because he's not a forward. in the Cavs offense all he does is isolate on the perimeter.

TMac is certainly not a PF, he doesnt have the PG skills

Pippen's a point forward but Jordan got the majority of the touches. Diaw's a point forward but Nash dominates the ball 95% of the time. KG's play style is prototypically point forward. it's the definition of point forward. you can't be more of a point forward than KG is. he gets the ball in the high post and looks to pass and is one of the best in the league at it... what more do you want? the guy's assist numbers are simply absurd for the regular, non-point powerforward you consider him.

so what about guys like vlade, cwebb who have assists avgs similar to KGs? To me there is a difference from having the offense run through you because you are clearly way more talented than your teammates and being a PF. hell, brad miller is a solid passing big man and has had seasons with assist totals the same as KG. Is he a point center?
