the fact that KG's name hasn't been brought up yet makes me want to garrote a kitten.
PS. Lebron and Tmac aren't point forwards. they could be. but they don't play that way. they should play that way. but they don't. they play like SGs who can pass, which is what they are. they shouldn't be. but they are. although I haven't seen Tmac this season, maybe he's initiating from the high post under Adelman, although I doubt it.
Tmac isn't a point forward. Lebron isn't quite one either. Poitn forwards are guys like Odom, Diaw, AK. I'd probably go with Odom.
All these guys seem like point forwards because they cant score big numbers. Diaw is just a guy with a bad jumpshot who makes passes to bail himself out of missing shots...i dont call that being a point forward, I call that being a bad player overly relying on his decent passing skills in an open offense to somewhat make up for his offensive ineptitude.
I think Lebron is a point forward in the right situation...

not that anything youre saying is wrong... but Diaw is quite obviously a point forward in every sense of the term.

As much as LeBron initiates the offesne for the Cavs please explain why he is not a point forward. Besides him they have no other distributors on the entire squad. IF he's not a point forward who is?
There really aren't any of a truely high level in the league right now.
TMac is certainly not a PF, he doesnt have the PG skills or the mindset to come even close to being a PF.
Shane Battier is a much better candidate from Houston, but he doesn't get enough of the ball.
Boris Diaw is probably the most natural point forward in the league right now, but again, doesn't get enough of it to really play the position.
Tay Prince has the skills to do it, but very rarely does.
LeBron certainly doesn't qualify either.
People seem to mix up point forward with ball dominating forward. Tmac and LeBron dominate the ball, but they dont run any offense, they just dominate the ball and anything that happens as a result. Scottie Pippen who is basically the definition of the position actually ran the offense. I have strong doubts that Tmac could do that, LeBron probably could with the right pieces around him.
