Here are a few guys that I think have a legitimate shot of their first all star game this year. Luol Deng, Kirk Hinrich, Brandon Roy, Deron Williams, Chris Paul, Gerald Wallace are a few that pop in mind. Who knows maybe a rookie will make it too, although it may be unlikely Durant has a chance.
Since he'll be the main guy in Philly for the whole season for his first time after Iverson's departure he should get a lot of attention so he's got a reasonable chance.
Based on last year, it has to be D-Wil and Deng. And am I right in saying Zach Randolph has never actually been an all-star??
And in terms of first time all-star performances (rather than being voted in and getting injured) Boozer also.

As much as I like Kirk, there is no way he will make the All-Star team. He doesn't have the great individual stats that the other big time PGs have (Kidd, Wade, Billups) and is also not as well known. Jason Richardson will make his first All-Star team as a member of the Eastern Conference though...that almost counts.
With less big man competition out West, with KG and Randolph being gone, Aldridge might get a look if he gets 18 and 10. He's gonna have to be the interior focus now that Randolph got traded and Oden is out for the year.
Deron Williams has to have a stupidly amazing season to make the West All-Star squad. Four Guard spots are already locked up, those include Kobe, T-Mac, Nash and AI. After that the coaches don't even have to pick anymore guards.
