That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. When I'm 80 in a wheelchair, I'll still have the spirit to play. Doesn't mean I'm gonna be an idiot and go play in a pro league somewhere.
your retarted if you think that... when your 80, what team in any pro league is going to want you to play?? no pro team will ever want you to play for their team... EVER! so that statement doesnt even apply... pippen is still obviously capable of playing and still has a burning desire for the game, so what exactly is wrong with him playing?
You're retarded if you can't spell retarded. If you're going to insult someone, at least learn to spell the insult correctly, especially if you're making claims about their level of intelligence.
He's probably gonna end up getting hurt or sromething. People underrate just how good the European league is.
lol, euroleauge yeah, finlands division one ain't a part of that. i have a friend that's above average, he plays for last year finnish champions. if i didn't tear my acl i would also be playing semi-pro (that's what it is in these countries) in finland. but for people to be judging pippen is outrageous. he gotta do what he gotta do. the amateur leagues (NBDL or whatever) are too god for a 40 year old dude .. he may have the skills to compete but certainly not the physicality. i could definitely see why he chose a place like finland .. it's competitve, i mean, it is their strongest division, but he'll do fine, because it's not like an "A" type european league.
who are you to judge? let the man get cash, let the man get passed. let the man play, dudes.

This is my biggest spelling pet peeve on ISH.
I agree. The amount of times I've seen someone call another poster retarded yet can't even spell the word correctly is ridiculous.
HELSINKI (Reuters) - Former Chicago Bulls player Scottie Pippen is close to signing a two match deal with Finland's Torpan Pojat (ToPo), the team said on Thursday.
The plan is that Pippen, a six-time NBA champion and now 41 years old, would play in ToPo in December or January.
"We are discussing details now, such as when and in which matches he will play," ToPo's general manager Aleksi Valavuori said.
"He would be the best player ever to have played in Europe."
He declined to reveal how much Pippen would be paid for the two matches, but said it was not a six-figure amount in euros.
Dennis Rodman, another former Chicago Bulls player, played one game for ToPo in 2005.
Why would he do that? If he wants to prove he can still play he isn't going to do that in Finland.
Wasn't he having all kind of money problems? I read that he made $100 million over his career and blew most of it and was actually worried about paying bills.

But he isn't getting that much for it. The article says it's lower than 100k.
That could still be 99k which is a lot of money, but I doubt that money pays the kind of bills Pippen would have if he really did have "money trouble".
And btw, isn't retarted just some kind of inet slang?
