Pretty easy for the Clippers really. If your team fails to deal you in a trade for Paul Pierce, Allen Iverson, Jason Kidd, then you know your team values you a lot. Shaun Livingston is that player, and Corey Maggette as well one can say
I think some Raptor fans overvalue Jose Calderon's value.
It just balances out the overall view of the guy. I'm not even a big fan of him, but the number of people on this board that downplay his worth is astounding.
Wizards... hmm. I'm not sure. Obviously Gilbert, but his value to the Wiz is right around his value to the rest of the league.

I have to disagree about Maggette. Last season there was talk out of Miami of a James Posey for Maggette deal. Supposedly the issue that killed the deal was draft pick protection.
I think Bynum may qualify for the League's most over-valued trade chip. And it's not just the fact that the Lakers wouldn't throw him in to get Kidd or JO or whomever, but the fact that the Lakers fans start any thread about potential trades by saying that Kobe, Bynum, and sometimes LO are untouchable and proceed to demand that somehow, the franchise trade for an all-star using the rest of the players.

Find me these threads. Find my these Lakers fans who actually think Bynum and LO should be untradable.
This will happen when your team really has only one player with good trade value. I don't see much to want from the Lakers or Knicks other than Bynum and Lee (realistically that is so no Kobe) so fans will overrated them.
I think some Raptor fans overvalue Jose Calderon's value. While he has shown to be a solid starter for short periods of time, I question his durability to play 30+ minutes per game for a full season. Injury issues are always brought up with TJ Ford when Jose Calderon is probably the more likely PG to get injured. He has some serious defensive issues as well.
true, it mostly happens when team's got only one valuable, yet not totally indisposable player...just like lee in NY. or young players that have "potential" thing, but haven't materialized it yet, like bynum. you'll always find at least 5 of 30 GMs who think they'll improve greatly.

Please.
Not going to look for it, but I remember hotsizzle making the "I hate Rod Thorn" thread in which he said Bynum was not worth giving up for Kidd. One of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen.

Alright. These threads are much more likely to be found in the Lakers subforum as opposed to the main one. I guess lunacy runs more rampant behind closed doors.
This is actually a thread on Bynum and his trade value. You can see enough people who think he simply shouldn't be traded at all, at least right now. Feel free to sift through the forum for others.
