Assuming its a 5on5 game (maybe 6on6.. 1 reserve). I think it goes 7.
Tim Duncan would be motivated as **** playing the FIBA team. He wouldnt be taking it easy the way he did in the playoffs. And Tony Parker would still be unstoppable.
Kobe would have to decide to guard Tony or Manu.. so that means one or the other is tearing it up. Nobody else on the FIBA team has lockdown defense.
Bottom line is that theres no way Amare, Dwight, or Chandler can guard Duncan in the post. Timmy's skillset is beyond incredible compared to the athletic freaks who's offensive arsenal consists of dunking.

bottom line is yes they can. when's the last time a team has fielded the defensive talent 3-deep of centers like Amare, Dwight and Chandler? Timmy would be beyond frustrated having 1-2 guys who are taller, stronger AND more athletic than him AND 2 of whom are defensive specialists on him at all times.
and then you have Kobe, who would be allowed to chill offensively a little, and if he can do that, he can hold Manu below 12ppg for the series. then you've got Chauncey Billups and Kidd taking turns on Parker- the 2 best defensive PGs in the game not named Hinrich.
The Current USA team destroyed the Argentinian National team by more than 30 points in the Tournament Finals. ( 38 Points)
How can you say that the most boring team in the history of the NBA will beat the current USA National Squad? Are you smoking some crack this will be a one sided ball game in favor of the FIBA Team.
Final Score: USA 180- Spurs 65, USA Sweep the Series 4-0
PS
Spurs will never repeat as NBA Champion next year prepare for a mind boggling explosion.

If Argentina only loses by around 20 in the first game, the Spurs are stealing atleast 2.
Man up, Wiz.
yeah, on an international court. this is an NBA court, with NBA rules, this means guys like Dwight can go ape**** on the offensive glass (keep in mind team USA can field Dwight and Amare at once... which one does Duncan guard? well, whoever he doesn't is scoring at will) and this means guys like Kobe and Redd can drive all day long because of the increased space.
Didn't Amare give Duncan like 35ppg in a playoff series? you could bank the series on Kobe, Amare, and defense alone, but you wouldn't even have to. you'd have 12-deep quality players you could turn to- whoever's hot.

The only defensive specialist on the FIBA team is Kobe Bryant, and even he would have trouble keeping Manu at below 12ppg.
But to call 3 bigmen who foul alot "defensive specialists" is just not smart, Wiz.

USA couldnt drop 180 on Brazil yet they're supposed to drop 180 on one of the top 5 greatest NBA teams of all time? Who boast one of the top 5 greatest players of all time?
No I'm not sure, the Spurs are "Superior" even though every bench player for the FIBA team is an NBA All-Star. I think you are right, Tim Duncan WOULD domintae the competition and Bruce Bowen really could stop Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Jason Kidd, Deron Williams, Mike Miller, AND Michael Redd. Yes he is that good. This is the best thread ever! Mods sticky this thread! The Spurs are even better than the Dream Team! Tim Duncan is the best basketball player in the world! The Spurs are the most exciting team, I am pretty sure they WOULD beat this USA squad. Dizzle-2k7 is a basketball genius!

Did you fail to notice I said 5on5/6on6? Not 12 on 12.
