Yeah I know but it is tough not to when you see a kid with almost unlimited potential like him. It is probably a reach to say he would be in the NBA but he could be a terrific college player at the very least. I do see him playing in the NFL someday though. He is a versatile athlete and could play a position other than QB because of his size and athleticism.
Ronald Curry and Iverson were both off the chart college prospects in both sports.
I think most of the other guys (Gonzales, Peppers, even McNabb) were football players playing basketball, or vice versa. Nate Robinson was probably pretty close in both areas. I also know Tim Couch was a big time HS scorer, but most top HS athletes excel in multiple sports.
I'm not sure which sport would be harder to make it in for your general 6-6 rangy athlete, assuming he can't play college QB. He's got a range of positions in football, and bigger rosters.
He would have to be available at the end of the football season in January
he basically would suit up around the All Star break or early march and play the rest of the season, play the whole football season and then half of the NBA season
if his game translates well to the NBA who wouldnt allow him to come into the fold if he can contribute maybe 10-12 ppg with 6 rpg
For yall that dont know:
Terrelle Pryor is heading to 1 of the following for football and basketball(in order)
1.Michigan State
2.Ohio State
3.Tennessee
4.Georgia Tech
5.West Virginia
Tennessee makes the most sense for him since Erik Ainge is a senior but Tom Izzo makes up for recruiting what Dantoni may not have for the football side of things
I hear all these claims that dude is OSU bound when hes been a hot target for MSU and Tenn for the past few years

Put down the crack pipe. No one can play both professional football and basketball. Start being realistic for christ sakes. There is a reason why its NOT done.
Ronald Curry, Julius Peppers, Nate Robinson, Tony Gonzalez, Antonio Gates, Donovann Mcnabb just to name a few off the top of my head. He can do both in college but he cant do both in the pro's. Has to pick one.
How soon we forget Cassell's roommate, Charlie Ward. Wasn't there someone else during the same time period?

I said the 2nd part of the NBA season,he basically would take up a roster spot until the NFL season is over and he has maybe 3 weeks or a month to get himself ready for the NBA season, but it would only work if a team let him do it
this dude would be GOD if he could do both
sadly all it takes is a Torn ACL and lawsuits will fly

I know what you said! He simply cant do it. Football is a physically demanding sport as is. To go thru spring training, preseason, 16 weeks, playoffs (if your team makes it)...then take a break and jump into the NBA the 2nd half of the season until May? Maybe later if your team gets further is just not possible. Where does he practice with the NBA team to gain chemistry? Learn on the fly? I mean i can easily shut down the idea using contracts, franchises saying hell to the nawl. But I'm gonna ignore it and say they allow him to play both sports. And show you how its impossible for him to do it.
He's gonna do what other two sport (bball/football) players did and choose.
^^Deion played in several MLB seasons
you need chemistry in that?
Baseball is more demanding than basketball is,wonder why half of them break down by June
I remember he played both on the same day:)
TP can do it but once he got hurt lawsuits are going to fly all over the place,he would have maybe a month and a half(if not make the playoffs) to relax and practice with the team, nothing different than an injured player and when hes ready to roll he can suit up after the all star break

Wrong he cant do it. And dont dare compare baseball to basketball. Not even in the same playing field. Baseball is not more demanding and team chemistry vs basketball team chemistry isnt nearly the same. Half of who break down in June? You aint gotta pull crap from your ass to support this kid.
He cant play both sports professionally. That simple.
^^oh really?
there are less than 10 players who've played each game this season
regular baseball player usually are spelled after playing 2 or 3 series, basbeball teams usually have about 3-5 days off per month compared to the NBA having about 10 days off when a baseball game is much longer than the 48 minutes need for a NBA Game
Baseball is 162 games per season,NBA is 82
explain how it isnt more demanding?

Longer the season doesnt mean its more demanding PHYSICALLY which is the entire point here. NBA is more physical, more action/up and down than baseball which can be stagnant at times. NBA? Only time you're stagnant is on the bench. You dont need as much chemistry in baseball as you do in basketball. Its impossible to play both which is why no one has dared challenged to do it. But you're so gung ho on this kid he can do anything.
