Default Official #55 NBA Player Of All Time According To ISH

#54 - Hal Greer. Hal Greer started out as a Syracause National, playing along side NBA great Dolph Schayes. He made a couple pf All-Star appearances and Division Finals with him. As he retired the team became his, for a short while until they got Wilt Chamberlain. Those two made a great 1-2 punch wining the title in 1967. Hal was a very consistant player, he averaged over 20 for 8 seasons, was a 10 time All-Star and a 7 time member of the Al-NBA second team.

I vote for Reggie Miller, I dont feel like I need to post why you all know what he has done. I know that he wont get in yet but Im just going to start vote for him now so atleast he gets 1 vote. homer? yes.

Dont bash me now because Im not saying that he deserves this yet, Im just giving him a vote since Vince carter is getting some.

As Tracy Morgan would say, Bur-Nard King. Dude was an absolute beast, could score with the best of them. All NBA 1st team twice, led the league in scoring and was a 4 time All-Star, this even after a messed up knee he came back from where he missed basically 2 years out of his prime.

In his prime, Sidney was possibly the most effective perimeter defender of all-time. The two biggest reasons to vote for Joe are his finals mvp/2 rings, and his longevity.

I'll compare some of their accolades...

Moncrief 5 Time All-Star, 1 Time All-NBA First Team, 4 Time All-NBA Second Team
Dumars 6 Time All-Star, 1 Time All NBA Second Team, 2 Time All-NBA Third Team

Moncrief 2 Defensive Player of the Year Awards, 5 Time All Defense
Dumars 5 Time All Defense

Moncrief No rings/finals MVP
Dumars 2 rings, 1 Finals MVP

All-NBA third teams were not established until Sid's 2nd last season. Also, from 82-91, only four guards made All-NBA First Teams-Jordan, Magic, Thomas, and Moncrief. Players that made all-first teams during Dumar's years include Mark Price, Latrell Sprewell, and Penny Hardaway.

Over Moncrief's 5 year peak. He finished 7th, 4th, 8th, 8th, and 7th in MVP voting. Dumars only recieved votes in four years, and finished 17th, 13th, 15th, and 10th in MVP voting in those years. Dumars actually received only 11 total votes, in all those years, while Moncrief received 518 total MVP votes.

As you can probably tell from my post, I'm voting for Sidney Moncrief.

Sidney Moncrief
