He should of have won more then 1 DPOY. I really thought it was year but they gave it to Camby who wasn't even much of a damn difference maker.

Defense is not equally as important as offense. The players with the most defensive impact are elite defensive big men, and even there, I'd say the split of importance is around 60-65% offense, 35-40% defense. Elite perimeter defenders -- even the absolute best of them -- are only around a 70/30 split at best.

An individual player can simply have a much larger impact on offense than they can have on defense. Defense is very important, obviously, but not equally as important as offense. Team offense vs. team defense, yes, they're equally important (or at least closer in importance). But when speaking of individual players, they're not.

Bowen is dirty beyond and his theory is pretty much if you don't get caught (by the refs), it's legal... which in essence is true...

Remember the couple of games Kobe got suspended for unnatural basketball action or whatever it was called, how come Bowen (and a few other players) don't get suspended because of those reasons? and as we all know, Kobe's wasn't even that bad...

btw, Tayshaun Prince IMO is the best clean defender currently in the NBA at his position - i have stated that previously many many times...

This thread is kind of weird Kobe BJ way of discrediting Duncan to give Kobe a nice BJ.

Maybe, when making a Kobe BJ thread, sort of like when we label a thread "OT", we can we just label it "KBJ" so that we'll know there is sucking going on in the thread and those with weak stomachs need not enter.

IMO Artest is the best on-the-ball defender in the league.

Nobody is going to give their dues to Shane Battier? At least he takes baths unlike Bowen.

Duncan is the best defender on the spurs... and probably the best in the league...

I honestly think Andre Igoudala is a better defender
and he's not dirty. I have yet to see a player not struggle big time against him. There's a report on Espn where he's found every star players tendencies already in the tournaments tryouts.

You should watch some Nuggets games. Camby is an amazing shot blocker, defensive rebounder and alters shots more than almost anybody in the league.

Bruce Bowen knows karate. No way I'm going to say he's not the best.

And Camby is very ugly.

cosign

the amount of games he's punched 7 or more shots is out of control!
yr before Last before he got injured he was a MVP canidate!!!
He Might have won if he kept up the pace he was on too.
sounds crazy but he was putting up around 25pts 14boards and like 5 blocks
until he got injured
If Camby would stay healthy he'd have Hall of fame numbers
