Re: Who will have a better season: Robert Swift or Sheldon Williams?
Who on earth would want to be guarded or guard a red-headed, japanese looking guy with tatoos standing out like awful sunspots? Players will be shying away when he drives to the basket or jumps for a rebound. Robert Swift will win on contest, simply because he scares people away.
Re: Who will have a better season: Robert Swift or Sheldon Williams?
Depends on how Swift has recovered and what kind of playing time he'll get. Seattle has one clogged frontcourt. I thought he played fairly well considering his youth and inexperience at the end of that last healthy season. He showed some decent athleticism and shot-blocking skills.
For now, Shelden will have the better year. He doesn't have the potential of a Swift IMO but he'll have guaranteed minutes and he's a solid rotation player.

depending on who gets the start (duh)... Collison and Wilcox will be fighting for their starting spot with Swift... Horford and Pachulia will be fighting for Shelden's spot... right now i'll give Swift a higher chance of starting... so Swift... with averages of 14/8

Also got to compete with Sene and Petro. Both guys could be looking at decent minutes. Is Danny Fortson still on the team? He should get okay minutes as well for the Sonics. Also Kurt Thomas. Wow, that front court is stacked, just not in a good way.

Sene? No. He's years away from getting decent PT. Petro, maybe. Swift was a easily lock to start last season had it not been for his injury.
Danny Fortson is a free agent. 99% chance he isnt returning considering what happened last season. He played in only 11 games and he had no injuries and averaged 11mpg in those games. He's gone.
Re: Who will have a better season: Robert Swift or Sheldon Williams?
Swift is beyond Petro and Sene...He had some promising moments a couple seasons ago..I think he would have at least had an Andrew Bynum statistical type of year if he didn't get hurt last year.

I was gonna pretty much say this... but then Qwyj said it... so I don't need to say it anymore.

i havent seen much of robert swift, but i did see shelden williams play numerous times last year and he looked terrible imo.. i wasnt impressed with any part of his game. i even thought solomon jones outplayed him.. hawks fans, am i incorrect?
